Apple is sending email surveys to some iPhone Duo buyers to get feedback on display size, crease, under-display camera, and other features. The first question asks why the buyer chose the ‌iPhone Duo‌ now, with answers like "I wanted to try Apple's first foldable," "It was an impulse purchase," and "I expect smartphone prices to increase." Other questions ask about the size of the ‌iPhone Duo‌'s display when it's closed, how visible the crease is, whether the under-display camera is distracting, and the camera's image quality. The final question is open-ended and asks what the buyer would add or change about the ‌iPhone Duo‌. View all 6 photos in the full article → It's been about two weeks since the ‌iPhone Duo‌ launched, and it's not too unusual for Apple to conduct surveys following a new product's debut. Some of the questions are about ‌iPhone Duo‌ compromises compared to standard iPhone models. The Duo's outer display is 5.4 inches, making it about the same size as the discontinued iPhone mini line. The inner display's under-screen camera is limited to 4MP, and it was one of the main complaints in reviews. The survey does not ask about Touch ID, the experience of using unoptimized apps, or the display cracks some users have reported, all of which are also top Duo complaints, (Thanks, Willy!) The interval years that aren’t Olympic or World Cup years are often quieter for the NWSL (see: average attendance was essentially flat among the non-expansion teams). In a year with the men’s World Cup on home soil and a major anniversary season for the WNBA, most of the NWSL’s teams gave a solid showing, with close competition for the Shield, an entertaining Golden Boot race and the returns of several big stars. Even those teams who did not give a solid showing – hello, Chicago – finally made some encouraging moves in the right direction. (Louisville next, please.) Ella Brockway Continue reading...

E-bikes are a popular mode of transport around the capital (Picture: Getty Images) Drunk e-bike riders in London may face harsher penalties under new measures to combat anti-social behaviour. Councils in the capital are set to gain new controls to fine boozy bikers as part of a wider crackdown on what has been called the ‘wild west’ use and parking of e-bikes across the city. Images and videos of poorly parked e-bikes and users crossing red lights have flooded social media as their popularity rose. Prime Minister Andy Burnham said: ‘E-bikes can make getting around that bit easier, but when they block pavements or are used irresponsibly they can be a real frustration. ‘I want to sort that by giving communities more control over where they are parked and making sure companies and riders play by the rules. ‘While making the big, long-term changes to make transport better and more affordable for people across the country, this is a small but important everyday fix to make our streets safer.’ E-bikes are a great way to get around, but it’s important to be safe (Picture: Getty Images) The proposals, set out by the Department for Transport (DfT), look to establish a national standard for e-bikes to make journeys safer and pavements clearer for everyone. They would include giving law enforcement bodies the ability to issue fines for illegal and anti-social behaviour on e-bikes. The DfT also suggests potential insurance requirements for operators including Lime, Forest and Voi, allowing people to claim compensation if they are hit by someone using an e-bike. Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said that while e-bikes have transformed how people get around the capital, better regulation is needed to ensure they are used safely. ‘I’ve been calling for powers to better manage dockless e-bike schemes since 2017, when the first schemes arrived in London, so I welcome the government’s plans to give cities the powers they need to do this,’ he said. He added the current…
