Rank 5223Classic success resulted in contract to ride at high-profile meeting for outstanding female jockey Saffie Osborne’s year began with a ride on a 150-1 chance in a race worth £7,000 at Wolverhampton on 6 January, when she trailed in last of the seven runners. Its final chapter will open on Sunday in the decidedly glitzier surroundings of Sha Tin racecourse in Hong Kong, where Osborne has 10 rides on an 11-race card, and the 10 months in between have been transformational for the 24-year-old jockey. A first top-10 finish in the Flat jockeys’ championship was the reward for Osborne’s consistency throughout the May-to-October title race, but the undoubted highlight was her victory on Highwayman victory in the St Leger in September. It was Osborne’s first Group One win, and also the first for a female jockey in a British Classic. Continue reading...

Rank 5244The ‘new James Bond’ isn’t Callum Turner, if you believe a bunch of actors in a pub (Picture: shutterstock/ metro) The new James Bond might have just been revealed in the most British way possible – being leaked by the actor’s mates at the pub after too many pints. The identity of the next 007 has been one of Hollywood’s most closely guarded secrets, with anticipation building since Daniel Craig’s 2021 exit. After writer Steven Knight teased that someone had been selected, rumours ramped up about who that chosen actor could be. However, it’s not frontrunners Callum Turner or Jack Lowden’s mates who were ‘insisting’ their friend was Bond. Instead, Josh O’Connor has reportedly landed the role, if the murky beer-goggled details are to be believed. An insider told The Sun: ‘I bumped into one of Josh’s Golden Boy cast mates at The French House. They were recognised by a lot of people who asked for selfies, and we got chatting in a corner completely by accident. Josh O’Connor reportedly told his Golden Boy cast mates he was Bond (Picture: AP Photo/Michel Euler) The next 007 has been speculated since Daniel Craig’s exit (Picture: Danjaq/UPI/Kobal/Shutterstock) ‘Out of nowhere, and oiled by a few glasses of lager, they blurted out that Josh was the next James Bond. ‘I said it was pure speculation but they were insistent it was Josh.’ The actor has been mentioned in the running for Bond but not quite as a top contender, according to bookies. He would undoubtedly be a popular choice, having enjoyed a run of huge films, including Knives Out’s Wake Up Dead Man, Challengers, and God’s Own Country. Reportedly, the Golden Boy cast claimed he had ‘confided in them about getting the role’ after the cast had ‘celebratory drinks’ when the play finished on Halloween. While it would be silly to rule out any contender, it’s probably best to wait for an official announcement before anyone takes O’Connor out for another round of celebratory drinks. Fans are still waiting on…

Rank 5246Sustainability has become an increasingly visible feature of consumer-packaged goods (CPGs), from the ingredients used in household products to the materials and design of their packaging. For companies marketing sustainable products, however, an important question remains: Does communicating more environmental benefits necessarily improve how consumers evaluate a product? Although highlighting several sustainability features may provide a more complete picture, consumers may not respond to all this information in the same way.
