Rank 11151Every year, the same story. Glastonbury 2025 tickets sold out in around 35 minutes after being released. If you didn't manage to get yours already, you're in luck – the last April resale is about to kick off.A limited number of Glastonbury 2025 tickets will go on resale on Thursday, April 24, and Sunday, April 27 in fact. Specifically, from Thursday at 6 pm UK time, you have the chance to get tickets bundled with coach travel options. General admission tickets will then go on sale on Sunday starting from 9 am, with accommodation options also becoming available from 11 am.Getting a Glastonbury ticket is always a seriously tough gig, but the good news is that technology is here to help, if you know which to use. From exploiting the power of the best VPN services to buddying up with friends to increase your chances, below are the top tips to successfully land your next Glastonbury ticket, and, if you can't get any, you can always watch Glastonbury 2025 on TV for free.
Use a VPN to change your country
Rumors are spreading about the possibility that there could be a certain number of tickets allotted to different countries. If that's the case, changing your location with a VPN could help you tap into a less competitive pool of buyers. That's because a VPN is a tool that can mask your real location, making you appear to be in any country in the world with just a couple of clicks. All the top services boast a huge array of international servers dotted across the world, you can connect to – USA, Australia, Canada, Papua New Guinea, wherever you like. Give it a whirl!
Use a VPN on all your devices to vary IPs
You can open as many browsers and tabs on all the devices you like but, if they're all connected to your home internet, then it will be clear to the Glastonbury website servers that it's just you, and they're all coming from one place. That's because they will all have the same IP address.Instead, increase your chances of getting Glastonbury tickets for 2025 by using all your devices and using a VPN on all of them to mix up IP addresses. This may make it appear that you're more than one person. For even better results, try to connect each device to different server locations. One of our favorites, NordVPN, has over 5,600 servers to choose from. That's a lot of tickets to the Glastonbury lottery! If you want to get really advanced, you could use a dedicated IP address to use alongside your regular home one. Nord VPN comes with the option to pick up a dedicated IP. That way, you've got your home IP address, a host of server IP addresses through your VPN, and what is essentially your own bespoke extra IP address too. That's a lot of bases covered.
Club together with your friends
If you've got mates who are going, all of you should be having a bash at getting tickets at the same time. If one gets in, buy tickets for everyone and then get paid back. One person can buy up to six Glastonbury tickets at the same time. Even more if everyone in your group tries their luck from multiple devices simultaneously, and, ideally with different IPs too.
Try using 5G instead of Wi-Fi
Bit of a mystery but many people online swear that your chances can increase simply by using 4G or 5G instead of Wi-Fi. That's mainly to avoid crowded networks like the one in your workplace, or any other public Wi-Fi, giving you more capacity on a given connection to the web.A stronger connection is a key here, too. Beating the queue is one thing but you need to be fast to move quickly from page to page to make sure to get your Glastonbury tickets before they run out.
Which VPN do we recommend for getting Glastonbury tickets?
Nord – Reliable VPN with dedicated IP and tons of locationsIf we were to pick one VPN to entrust with getting a Glastonbury 2025 ticket, it'd be NordVPN. With great speeds, a huge range of server locations, ultra-reliable connections, and the option of a dedicated IP address, it's the perfect tool. You can use your subscription across six devices, and you'll have a 30-day money-back guarantee so you can trial the service risk-free.View Deal
How to buy Glastonbury 2025 tickets
In an effort to clamp down on ticket touting, anyone who would like to attend the festival needs to be registered on the website prior to the ticket sale. The registration period for the resale has unfortunately closed on April 23, so if you haven't already registered, you're out of luck. Unless you're under 13 years old. More on that lower down.Music lovers who successfully filled out the registration form in time can soon buy Glastonbury 2025 tickets exclusively via the event's official website.
When is Glastonbury 2025?
As tradition, Glastonbury 2025 is set to take place over the last week of June, specifically from Wednesday June 25 to Sunday June 29 2025.
Can I buy Glastonbury tickets from overseas?
Yes, there are no limitations on where you can buy Glastonbury 2025 tickets. As we have seen before, changing your device country location with a secure VPN service could actually boost your chances of bagging your entrance card.
What kind of Glastonbury 2025 tickets are there?
Besides the combo of festival ticket and coach fare, there are many types of entrances you can choose from. You can pay an additional fee for adding a car park pass to your entrance. That's done during the first week of April 2025 and the price has not been confirmed yet. Last year, it was £55.Campervan tickets were £200 for a standard size in 2024 with larger pitches at £300.You can even hire tipis to share with your family and friends – each can accommodate up to six adults. This costs £1750 to hire, to pay in full at the time of booking. There will also be some Sunday tickets exclusively available for Somerset residents. On top of these, there is also Glastonbury pre-erected accommodation available at a later sale date with Sticklinch and Worth View fields providing pods, scout tents, huts, and more.Campervans, tipis, and accommodation will be available to purchase in a separate sale in the weeks following the general ticket sale.
How do I get to Glastonbury 2025
As festival organizers point out, coaches are the best way to get to the Glastonbury festival. The event's official partner, National Express, will run services from over 70 locations directly to the festival site. You can check and book your route here.If you are thinking of coming by train, the closest station is Castle Cary. Here, there will be a free shuttle bus running throughout the event days. Those coming by car or campervan should keep in mind that, despite the name, the festival is not actually located in the town of Glastonbury. As with previous events, Glastonbury 2025 will be held at Worthy Farm which is in Pilton, in Somerset.Ticket + Coach options go on sale earlier than the general sale and are a great way to secure your place at the festival if you're happy to travel by coach. Costs depend on where you're coming from.
Glastonbury children's tickets
If you are thinking of heading to the festival with all your family, good news: kids under 13 go free! No ticket required. Just show up and make sure the parents have tickets, of course.Glastonbury festival is a popular destination for families, too. So, nothing to worry about. Just make sure to keep an eye on the youngest family members at all times.
Get Glastonbury tickets: what to do if you miss out
If you miss out on the registration end date, don't panic. There's still another chance around April when returned tickets get resold. So, you still have a chance to land your Glastonbury 2025 spot. Plus, you can always work there and get in for free.

Rank 11152New photos show dummy units of all four expected iPhone 17 models in two different colorsYou can see how slim the iPhone 17 Air might be compared to the other modelsOnline reactions to the designs are largely negative
It seems like we’re getting new and better looks at the likely design of the iPhone 17 series almost every day now, and the latest rumor-fueling photos show dummy units of all four models, side by side.Shared by @SonnyDickson (via GSMArena), these images claim to show Apple's upcoming phones in both black and white shades, and in both cases, their rear panels are a single color, rather than the two-tone design that early leaks suggested the iPhone 17 might have. This single-color appearance is more likely to be accurate based on recent leaks, but either way, the large, redesigned camera blocks you can see below will almost certainly make an appearance on the finished phones, since all leaks seem to agree on their inclusion.
And here’s the white one — looks even better than the black. pic.twitter.com/b18nh0xBmBApril 23, 2025
You can also see just how slim the iPhone 17 Air is likely to be in some of these images, with it appearing substantially thinner than the rest of these iPhone 17 series dummy units.Of course, as always, it's worth taking these images with a pinch of salt. While dummy units can be crafted based on official information from Apple, it’s possible that these were simply created based on rumors about the design of these phones. Still, they match up with numerous previous leaks, so we expect that they’re somewhat accurate.
Making a bad impression
In which case, it will be interesting to see just how popular – or not – the iPhone 17 series is upon its launch later this year, because reactions to these images are mixed at best. On Reddit, these designs have been described as a “monstrosity”, “so bad”, and “so ugly”, among other things. Not every comment is quite so negative, but there seems to be little in the way of truly positive reactions. It’s likely, though, that perceptions will change. For one thing, even if these dummy units are broadly accurate, the finished phones will almost certainly look more polished. And for another, people will likely get used to the changes over time – just like they got used to the notch when that was introduced on the iPhone X in 2017, and to the stem on AirPods. So, a year from now, most people will probably be used to this new iPhone look, and next time Apple redesigns the iPhone, we’ll likely hear people wishing it would stay like this.

Rank 11154The use of AI in business is creating an entirely new attack surface, Netwrix study claimsHackers are increasingly using AI in attacksAI used on company data generates intellectual property
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made securing IT infrastructure from cyber-threats a lot more challenging, a new report from Netwrix has claimed, noting organizations are also increasingly using AI to combat the threats. In its annual global 2025 Cybersecurity Trends Report, based on a global survey of 2,150 IT and security professionals from 121 countries, Netwix said more than a third (37%) were forced to adjust their cybersecurity approach due to AI-driven threats.Another third (30%) said the use of AI in the office created an entirely new attack surface, while 29% said they struggle with compliance since auditors require proof of data security and privacy in AI-based systems. All of this has pushed almost two-thirds (60%) of organizations to start using AI in their IT infrastructure, and made another 30% consider implementing it, as well.

Host of new threats
Commenting on the findings, Netwrix’s chief product officer, Jeff Warren, said businesses need to prepare for a “host of new threats” that arose with the introduction of AI.“The data shows a rise in security incidents that are identity-driven and infrastructure-focused,” Warren said.“Indeed, identity-driven attacks are likely to dominate even more, with crafty new ways to bypass MFA, abuse of machine-to-machine identities like service accounts and tokens, AI-powered deepfake voice and video phishing, and even synthetic identity creation at scale.”Dirk Schrader, VP of security research at Netwrix, pointed at another fact that is often overlooked: AI trained on company data generates intellectual property and, as such, is an attractive target for cybercriminals: “It is important to secure data across the entire AI lifecycle, from ingestion to model training to monitoring API endpoints for any signs of prompt injection, abuse or model leakage,” Schrader stressed.

Rank 11156Garmin has accidentally leaked the new ForerunnerAn online extended warranty form has surfaced for the Forerunner 970It's an unlikely candidate, given we were expecting a 975 or 275 instead
Garmin's Forerunner range makes up some of the best running watches on the market, and the lineup could be about to get a major boost in the form of a new Forerunner 970.We've seen a few leaks and heard some rumblings about a new Forerunner over the last few weeks, but now Garmin has cut through all the speculation by accidentally leaking its next model on its own website. As spotted by Garmin Rumors, a new listing on Garmin's Taiwan website lists the Forerunner 970 in an Extended Warranty Campaign Application support page. The page, now deleted, was oddly published in Korean, rather than Mandarin. However, in both the original Korean and the English translation, the Forerunner 970 shows up as a brand, so there's no chance this is some kind of machine learning-induced translation of, say, the Forerunner 965.
Garmin Forerunner 970 – what we know
The Forerunner 970 leak is extremely intriguing, given it's an unexpected one. We've previously seen leaks pointing towards a new Forerunner 975, while the 275 was also a prime candidate for launch. Both the 265 and the 965 came out in March 2023, and so are ripe for an upgrade. The "70" Forerunner lineup would be a new spot in the lineup, given there hasn't been a "60" in the lineup since the 2009 original Forerunner 60. New Garmin devices were recently spotted in online database filings with various regulatory bodies, a sure sign of new devices being close at hand. The specific details of the Forerunner 970 remain closely veiled, as does a specific release date. That being said, you can guarantee that Forerunner mainstays like extensive battery life and industry-leading health and fitness metrics will feature.

Rank 11157Adobe introduces latest Firefly Image Model 4 & 4 UltraFirefly Boards debuts, plus mobile app coming soonAdobe's new Content Authenticity app can verify creator's digital work
Adobe Max 2025 is currently being hosted in London, where the creative software giant has revealed the latest round of updates to its key apps, including Firefly, Photoshop and Premiere Pro.As we expected, almost every improvement is powered by AI, yet Adobe is also keen to point out that these tools are designed to aid human creativity, not replace it. We'll see.Adobe hopes to reenforce this sentiment with a new Content Authenticity app that should make it easier for creators to gain proper attribution for their digital work. It's a bit of a minefield when you start thinking about all of the permutations, but kudos to Adobe for being at the forefront for protecting creators in this ever evolving space. There's a raft of new features and tools to cover, from a new collaborative moodboard app to smarter Photoshop color adjustments, and we've compiled the top five changes that you need to know about, below.
1. Firefly Image Model 4 & 4 Ultra is here, plus a mobile app is on the way
Created by Brandi Licciardo using Adobe Firefly Image Model 4 with the word prompts; small sweeper men, cleaning up pencil shavings from a huge pencil pointing downwards vertically, (Image credit: Adobe / Brandi Licciardo)
Firefly seemingly has enjoyed the bulk of Adobe's advances, with the latest generative AI model promising more lifelike image generation smarts and faster output. The 'commercially safe' Firefly Model 4 is free to use for those with Adobe subscriptions and, as always with Firefly tools, is by extension available in Adobe's apps such as Photoshop, meaning these improved generative powers can enhance the editing experience.Firefly Model 4 Ultra is a credit-based model designed for further enhancements of images created using Model 4.Adobe also showcased the first commercially safe AI video model, now generally available through the Firefly web app, with a new text-to vector for creating fully editable vector-based artwork. For example, users can select one of their images as the opening and end keyframe, and use a word prompt to generate a video effect to bring that image to life. All the tools we were shown during Adobe Max 2025 are available in Adobe's apps, some of which are now in public beta. We were also told that a new Firefly mobile app is coming soon, though the launch date has yet to be confirmed.
2. The all-new Firefly Boards
During Adobe's Max 2025 presentation, we were also shown the impressive capabilities of an all-new Adobe tool; Firefly Boards.Firefly Boards is an 'AI-first' surface designed for moodboarding, brainstorming and exploring creative concepts, ideal for collaborative projects.Picture this; multiple generated images can be displayed side by side on a board, moved and grouped, with the possibility of moving those ideas and aesthetic styles into production using Adobe's other tools such as Photoshop, plus non-Adobe models such as OpenAI.The scope for what is possible through Firefly in general, now made easier with the Boards app that can utilize multiple AI image generators for the same project, is vast. We're keen to take Boards for a spin.
3. Photoshop, refined with Firefly
Adobe Photoshop receives a number of refined tools that should speed up edits that could otherwise be a time sink.Adobe says 'Select Details' makes it faster and more intuitive to select things like hair, facial features and clothing; 'Adjust Colors' simplifies the process of adjusting color hue, saturation and lightness in images for seamless, instant color adjustments; while a reimagined Actions panel (beta) delivers smarter workflow suggestions, based on the user's unique style.Again, during a demo, the speed and accuracy of certain tools was clear to see. The remove background feature was able to isolate a fish in a net with remarkable precision, removing the ocean backdrop while keeping every strand of the net.Overall, the major of Photoshop improvements are realized because of the improved generative powers of the latest Firefly image model, which can be directly accessed through Photoshop.
4. Content Credentials is here via a free app
As Adobe further utilizes AI tools in its creative apps, authenticity is an increasing concern for photographers and viewers alike. That's why the ability to verify images is all the more vital, and why this next Adobe announcement is most welcome.Adobe Content Credentials – an industry-recognized image verification standard, adds a digital signature to images to verify ownership and authenticity – and is now available in a free Adobe Content Authenticity app, launched in public beta.Through the app, creators can attach info about themselves; their LinkedIn and social media accounts, plus image authenticity, including date, time, place and edits of said image. An invisible watermark is added to an image, and the info is easily seen with a new Chrome browser extension installed.Furthermore, through the app, creators will be able to attach their preferences for Adobe's use of their content, including Generative AI Training and Usage Preference. This should put the control back with creators, although this is a bit of a minefield – other generative AI models do not currently adhere to the same practices.
5. Adobe rolls out Premiere Pro's Generative Extend
The upgrades to Premiere Pro are more restrained, with the Firefly-powered Generative Extend now generally available being the headline announcement. Not only is the powerful tool now available to all users, but it also now supports 4K and vertical video.Elsewhere, 'Media Intelligence' helps editors find relevant clips in seconds from vast amounts of footage, plus Caption Translation can recognize captions in up to 27 languages. These tools are powered by, you guessed it: Adobe Firefly.

Rank 11158Windows 11 24H2 caused a plane to completely disappear from GTA: San AndreasA lengthy investigation determined it was a coding error in GTA, and not Microsoft’s faultThe error in the plane’s Z axis positioning, which was finally exposed by the 24H2 update, effectively shot it into space
A two-decade-old game has produced a marked demonstration of just how strange the world of bugs can be, after Windows 11 24H2 appeared to break something in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – though I should note upfront that this wasn’t Microsoft’s fault in the end.Neowin picked up on this affair which was explained at length – in very fine detail, in fact – by a developer called Silent (who’s responsible for SilentPatch, a project dedicated to fixing up old PC games, including GTA outings, so they work on modern systems).Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was released way back in 2004, and the game has a seaplane called the Skimmer. What players of this GTA classic found was that after installing the 24H2 update for Windows 11, the Skimmer had suddenly vanished from San Andreas. The connection between applying 24H2 and the seaplane’s disappearance from its usual spot down at the docks wasn’t immediately made, but the dots were connected eventually. Then Silent stepped in to investigate and ended up diving down an incredibly deep programming rabbit hole to uncover how this happened.
As mentioned, the developer goes into way too much depth for the average person to care about, but to sum up, they found that even when they force-spawned the Skimmer plane in the game world, it immediately shot up miles into the sky.The issue was eventually nailed down to the ‘bounding box’ for the vehicle – the invisible box defining the boundaries of the plane model – which had an incorrect calculation for the Z axis (height) in its configuration file. For various reasons and intricacies that we needn’t go into, this error was not a problem with versions of Windows before the 24H2 spin rolled around, purely by luck I might add. Essentially, the game read the positioning values of the previous vehicle before the Skimmer (a van), and this worked okay (just about – even though it wasn’t quite correct). But Windows 11 24H2 changed the behavior of the code of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, so it no longer read the values of that van – and with error now exposed, the plane effectively received a (literally) astronomical Z value. It wasn’t visible in the game any longer because it was shot up into space. And so the mystery of the disappearing seaplane was solved – the Skimmer, in fact, was orbiting a distant galaxy somewhere far, far away from San Andreas. (I feel a spin-off mash-up game coming on).

Analysis: Too quick to pin the blame
This is a rather fascinating little episode that shows how tiny bugs can creep in, and by chance, go completely unnoticed for 21 years until a completely unrelated operating system update changes something that throws a wrench into the coding works. It also serves to underline a couple of other points. Firstly, that there’s a complex nest of tweaks and wholesale changes under the hood of the 24H2 update, which comes built on a new underpinning platform. That platform is called Germanium, and it’s a pivotal change that was required for the Arm-based (Snapdragon) CPUs that were the engines of the very first Copilot+ PCs (which was why 24H2 was needed for those AI laptops to launch). In my opinion, this is why we’ve seen more unexpected behavior and weird bugs with the 24H2 update than any other upgrade for Windows 11, due to all that work below the surface of the OS (which is capable of causing unintended side effects at times).Furthermore, this affair highlights that some of these problems may not be Microsoft’s doing, and I’ve got to admit, I’m generally quick to pin the blame on the software company in that regard. My first thought when I started reading about this weird GTA bug was – ‘what a surprise, yet more collateral damage from 24H2’ – when in fact this isn’t Microsoft’s fault at all (but rather Rockstar’s coders). That said, much of the flak being aimed at Microsoft for the bugginess of 24H2 is, of course, perfectly justified, and the sense still remains with me that this update – and the new Germanium platform which is its bedrock – was rather rushed out so that Copilot+ PCs could meet their target launch date of summer 2024. That, too, may be an unfair conclusion, but it’s a feeling I’ve been unable to shake since 24H2 arrived.

Rank 11159A Reddit user's conversation with ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode turned sinisterA bug in the audio caused ChatGPT's Sol voice to start sounding demonicThe hilarious results are a must listen
It's fair to say there's a sort of uneasiness when it comes to AI, an unknown that makes the general public a little on edge, unsure of what to expect from chatbots like ChatGPT in the future.Well, one Reddit user got more than they bargained for in a recent conversation with ChatGPT's Advanced Voice Mode when the AI voice assistant started to speak like a demon. The hilarious clip has gone viral on Reddit, and rightfully so. It's laugh-out-loud funny despite being terrifying.
Does ChatGPT voice turn into a demon for anyone else? from r/OpenAI
In the audio clip, Reddit user @freddieghorton asks ChatGPT a question related to download speeds. At first, ChatGPT responds in its "Sol" voice, but as it continues to speak, it becomes increasingly demonic. The audio has clearly bugged out here, but the result is one of the funniest examples of AI you'll see on the internet today. The bug happened in ChatGPT version v1.2025.098 (14414233190), and we've been unable to replicate it in our own testing. Last month, I tried ChatGPT's new sarcastic voice called Monday, but now I'm hoping OpenAI releases a special demonic voice for Halloween so I can experience this bug firsthand.
We're laughing now
You know, it's easy to laugh at a clip like this, but I'll put my hands up and say, I would be terrified if my ChatGPT voice mode started to glitch out and sound like something from The Exorcist. While rationality would have us treat ChatGPT like a computer program, there's an uneasiness created by the unknown of artificial intelligence that puts the wider population on edge.In Future's AI politeness survey, 12% of respondents said they say "Please" and "Thank You" to ChatGPT in case of a robot uprising. That sounds ludicrous, but there is genuinely a fear, whether the majority of us think it's rational or not.One thing is for sure, OpenAI needs to fix this bug sooner rather than later before it incites genuine fear of ChatGPT (I wish I were joking).

Identity theft and social engineering are one of the biggest methods of cybercrime today.Major criminal organizations, including state-sponsored groups such as North Korean actors Lazarus, often create fake accounts on LinkedIn and use them to target high-profile individuals such as CEOs, software developers, or government employees. In fact, one of the biggest crypto thefts happened after Lazarus created a fake recruiter profile on LinkedIn and a fake job, and invited a blockchain developer for an interview. During the interview process, the developer was dropped a piece of malware, which enabled the theft of roughly $600 million in different tokens. This attack campaign has been ongoing for months, with cybersecurity researchers dubbing it Operation DreamJob.Other groups have followed suit, on both sides. Besides creating fake recruiter profiles and fake jobs, they would also create fake software developer personas, landing jobs at major companies and using privileged access to steal sensitive data.“Verified on LinkedIn” was originally launched in April 2023, initially as a free verification system that allows users to confirm their identity, workplace, or education, using government-issued IDs, work email addresses, or third-party services such as CLEAR, or Microsoft Entra. LinkedIn users that verify their identities get a badge added to their profile page, showing other platform users that the person is authentic.A year later, the company expanded this feature to include recruiter verification, as well, in an attempt to combat job-related scams. Verified recruiters receive a checkmark badge on their profiles, as well.

Rank 11161If you were hoping to avoid the chaos that has accompanied the Switch 2 launch by pre-ordering directly from Nintendo, that may not make it arrive any faster. In an update on its website, Nintendo says that it's seeing "very high demand" for the console, so "your invitation email may arrive after the Nintendo Switch 2 launch" set for June 5th. That may delay the shipment until after that date as well, the company said.
Nintendo opened the ability to "register your interest" for purchasing a Switch 2 earlier in Japan and a staggering 2.2 million people applied to pre-order the console. It's now making the same offer to North American users and had initially promised to send out the first batch of pre-order invitations on May 8th. For at least some people, that may now slip nearly a month or more.
Nintendo suggested visiting its launch partners, but as we've seen so far, that process has also been challenging. So far, Amazon doesn't even have an order page for the Switch 2 and customers are having trouble ordering from other retailers like Walmart, Target and Best Buy.
Should you wish to apply to pre-order, beware that Nintendo hasn't made the process easy, likely to dissuade scalpers. You must have a purchased a Nintendo Switch Online membership yourself, have had any paid Nintendo Switch Online membership for at least 12 months, have opted in to share gameplay data and have at least 50 total gameplay hours.
Nintendo delayed the original launch date from April 9 to April 24 due to concerns over Trump's tariffs. It remains to be seen whether Nintendo underestimated Switch 2 demand in other territories like the US as much as it did for Japan — but given the current frenzy, that seems likely. To see full details on how to pre-order, check Engadget's article with all the details.

Rank 11164Nintendo has confirmed the Nintendo Switch 2 GameCube controller will work with some regular gamesHowever, there may be issues due to the controller's layoutIt also won't be compatible with the original Nintendo Switch
Nintendo has issued an update on the Switch 2's wireless GameCube controller, stating that it will be usable with games outside of the Nintendo Switch Online GameCube library. However, players should expect to encounter issues or inconsistencies. In a statement to Nintendo Life, a Nintendo spokesperson said:"The Nintendo GameCube controller is designed for use with the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics collection of games and is an optional way to play those games."Since it doesn’t have all the buttons and features found in other controllers that can be used with the Nintendo Switch 2 system, there may be some issues when playing other games. The Nintendo GameCube controller can only be used on Nintendo Switch 2 and is not compatible with Nintendo Switch."The Nintendo Switch 2 GameCube controller does have some notable additions to keep it more in line with the Joy-Con 2 and Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller. That includes Home, Capture and GameChat buttons, as well as a 'ZL' button at the top presumably to act as a bumper opposite the 'Z' button. While most buttons do seem present and accounted for compared to other Switch 2 controllers, the GameCube's face button layout is certainly unorthodox and this may be where those aforementioned issues stem from.It is a curious thing that the new GameCube controller won't be compatible with the original Nintendo Switch given that console got its own wired GameCube controller that launched alongside Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Hopefully, this new variant will eventually have control schemes built in for some Nintendo Switch 2 games. Potentially the upcoming Kirby Air Riders or a future Smash Bros. title. Fingers crossed..

Sony has released a new PlayStation 5 software update that sees the return of its classic console designs. The update rolls out today and, as detailed in a new PlayStation blog post, contains two new enhancements based on player feedback. The first and most notable feature of the update is the return of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary PS5 UI designs, which honour the PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4.These retro console designs were limited time when they were first released, but Sony has decided to bring them back.Players will be able to find the designs under a new feature called ‘Appearance’ under the Settings menu.“Due to the overwhelmingly positive response from our community, we’re happy to bring back the look and feel of the four console designs for players to customize the home screen on PS5!” Sony aid.
Then there’s the new PS5 Audio Focus feature, which is designed for increasing immersion through presets that “amplify soft sounds to meet your hearing preferences, ensuring a clearer audio experience when using headphones or headsets.”These presets will make it easier for players to distinguish sounds like in-game character dialogue, subtle sound effects, and party voice chat, “for a more immersive gaming experience”.PS5 users can find the new feature in the sound settings, or the control centre during gameplay, and can choose between four presets, each with three different levels, including Weak, Medium, and Strong. You can check out the presets below.
Boost Low Pitch: Amplify low-frequency sounds like roaring engines and rumbling noises.Boost Voices: Amplify voice chats, character voices, and other middle-frequency sounds.Boost High Pitch: Amplify high-frequency sounds like footsteps and metallic noises.Boost Quiet Sounds: Amplify low-volume sounds in a wide range of frequencies.

Rank 1116620th Century Studios has released the first trailer for Predator: BadlandsThe sci-fi action franchise's next movie is hiding some big secrets in plain sightIts teaser contains an Independence Day Easter egg and strong ties to the Alien franchise
Almost 20 years have passed since the last Alien vs Predator (AvP) movie landed in theaters. But, based on the first trailer for Predator: Badlands, another installment in the much-maligned crossover film franchise – and an entry that could redeem that movie series in many people's eyes to boot – might be here sooner than anyone expected. That's because Badlands, one of this year's new movies that'll arrive on November 7, drops some not-so-subtle hints that it's an AvP movie in all but name. Oh, and there's also an unexpected reference to another sci-fi film franchise that indicates that it may exist in the same universe as the Alien and Predator movie series. But enough waffling! Watch Badlands' first teaser below and see if you can spot the aforementioned clues before I explain all.
As you'll have noticed, there's a very clear reference to the Alien movies in Badlands' first-look footage via Elle Fanning's character, who's called Thia. For those who might have missed it, though: at the 0:25 mark, Thia's eyes roll back into her head to reveal a telling sign that's not actually human, but an android.Thia is no ordinary robotic humanoid, either – as *ahem* eagle-eyed viewers noted a logo imprinted onto the back of her eyes indicating that she was created by the Weylan-Yutani Corporation. That's the sinister fictional megacorporation that exists in the Alien franchise, which prioritizes profits and experimentation on dangerous alien lifeforms over the lives of its employees.
Elle Fanning's Thia is a Weyland-Yutani synthetic android? Interesting... (Image credit: 20th Century Studios)
That's not the only reference to Weyland-Yutani in Badlands' teaser. It's hard to make out but, at the 0:50 mark, a smashed-up, orange-colored truck can be seen on the right side of the screen – and it's adorned with the Weyland-Yutani logo too.Oh, and before I forget: scroll back to the very start of the teaser and, amid the other skulls that are hung on the wall of what's likely the Predator's dwelling, look closely at the skull sitting at the center of the collection. Look familiar? That's because it's the skull of one of the aliens in the Independence Day film franchise.Neat, eh? Although, that now begs the question of whether those movies also exist in the same universe and the Alien and Predator films...
Why Predator: Badlands could secretly be the third entry in the Alien vs Predator movie series
Alien: Romulus was well received by fans and critics alike last August (Image credit: 20th Century Studios)
Of course, those Weyland-Yutani Easter eggs could be nothing more than simple reminders that xenomorphs (the aliens in Alien) and the yautja (the actual name of the Predator species) exist in the same universe. However, wouldn't it be cooler if, at some point, Badlands performs a narrative bait and switch and turns into an AvP film?Awful though the previous two AvP movies are, I certainly hope so – and that's down to the individuals who have revived the Alien and Predator series, two stalwart film franchises of the '80s and '90s.Dan Trachtenburg, who directs Badlands, is also the filmmaker behind 2022's Predator prequel movie Prey. That flick, which is available on Hulu (US) and Disney+ (internationally), is a film I labeled as "the best Predator movie since the 1987 original" in my Prey review. With Trachtenburg also on directing duties for Badlands, I'm confident he'll deliver back-to-back brilliant entries as part of his wider Predator franchise reboot. Indeed, Prey and Badlands notwithstanding, another Predator film – an animated anthology flick called Predator: Killer of Killers – will also make its debut this year. It'll be available to stream at home from June 6.
Did you spot the Weyland-Yutani logo on this damaged vehicle? (Image credit: 20th Century Studios)
As for the Alien movies, filmmaker Fede Alvarez gave us that franchise's best installment since 1986's Aliens with last year's Alien: Romulus. With a sequel to that big-screen offering currently in development, the future looks similarly bright for the xenomorph and facehugger-starring sci-fi horror film series.Okay, but what's all of this got to do with the possibility that Badlands is actually an AvP movie? The trailer's Weyland-Yutani nods aside, Alvarez has previously outlined what he'd like to see from a new AvP film.Speaking to Collider in February, the Argentine said: "The way I would do it [a new AvP film], most likely, if it could be done this way… It’s harder to keep secrets online… The best AvP will be the one that you don’t know is AvP until the other guy shows up."You think you’re watching a Predator movie, and then they land in some place and there are creatures, and f*****g hell, it’s a Xenomorph. That would get me. 'F**k yeah!' You’d go crazy.
#PredatorBadlands arrives in theaters and IMAX November 7. pic.twitter.com/6LIzcYbg54April 23, 2025
"Or, vice versa," Alvarez continued. "You’re in an Alien movie, and then suddenly a mysterious creature is there, and you can hear that sound, and you see the cloak, and you go, 'Is that a f****g Predator?' And then turns out it is. That would be the way to do it, don’t you think? Once you put it in the title, it’s like, ‘Spoiler alert.'"When pressed by Collider as to whether he'd ever team up with Trachtenburg to make such a film, Alvarez added: "I can’t speak for Dan. At some point, once there’s another Alien, and I know he’s working on a sequel to Prey, one day if we feel like, 'Yeah, that’s what we cannot wait to see, I think that’s a movie we could do."Is all of that Alvarez's coded way of suggesting Badlands could be another AvP film? Probably not, but I live in hope that I'm wrong!

A major time-tracking company has been leaking sensitive screenshots on the open internet, putting countless people and organizations at risk of identity theft, data breaches, wire fraud, scams, and more.Cybersecurity researchers at Cybernews found an archive of “millions of real-time screenshots” generated by WorkComposer, which calls itself an “employee productivity monitoring tool”.These screenshots show what the employee is working on at any given time, which could include sensitive communications and emails, login portals, passwords, intellectual property, proprietary data, and more.

Millions of screenshots
Leaking these screenshots is a major privacy violation, and could spell trouble for the company, if data watchdogs and privacy organizations get involved.Cybernews said that WorkComposer exposed more than 21 million images in an unsecured Amazon S3 bucket. The company claims to have more than 200,000 active users. It could also spell trouble if it turns out that cybercriminals found the bucket in the past. At press time, there was no evidence that it did happen, and the company apparently locked the archive down in the meantime.WorkComposer is basically a surveillance tool built primarily for remote workers, allowing bosses and managers to keep track of what their employees are doing. It logs hours, app use, but most importantly - it grabs screenshots every 20 seconds.Undefended, or poorly protected databases are one of the most common causes of data leaks. Just this year, more than 2.8 billion records were leaked across the web, as businesses of different sizes and in different industries were found holding sensitive data in an unlocked cloud instance.Security researchers are warning that many companies don’t truly understand the concept of “shared responsibility” when it comes to securing the cloud, and have urged organizations to secure their databases and monitor the logs for unauthorized entry.

Rank 11170A new report claims the iPhone 16 is gaining in popularityThe iPhone 16 Pro, meanwhile, seems to be losing salesThis all makes sense due to the iPhone 16’s great new features
The iPhone 16 is one of the best iPhones you can buy, and it looks like the data might agree, with this model apparently selling in phenomenal numbers. That’s according to a report published by CIRP (via 9to5Mac), at least, and it paints an interesting picture of Apple’s phone lineup, with the iPhone 16 Pro in particular seeming to miss out.The iPhone 16 appears to have been the main winner among Apple’s phone offerings, making up roughly 20% of sales as of March 2025. Contrast that to March last year, when the iPhone 15 counted for about 14% of Apple’s iPhone sales.Conversely, CIRP’s report claims that “The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max together accounted for 38% of iPhone sales in the quarter, down from the 45% share for the similarly positioned iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max one year ago.” Much of that change seems to be down to the iPhone 16 Pro, which accounted for 17% of sales this year – down from 22% in Q1 2024.That suggests that consumers are opting for the more affordable iPhone 16, rather than stepping up to the more expensive iPhone 16 Pro. At the end of the day, that shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
Increasingly attractive
I love my iPhone 16 Pro, and I’ve found it to be a massive step up from the iPhone 12 Pro I had before. Its combination of 120Hz display and excellent photographic capabilities mean it offers me something that the regular iPhone 16 can’t match. But at the same time, I can see why people would want to skip the Pro model and opt for a more affordable alternative. The iPhone 16 came with some significant upgrades over its iPhone 15 predecessor, including improved Camera Control, a better A18 chip, an Action button, and more. None of these features were available to this iPhone tier before. It’s likely that Apple gave the iPhone 16 a sizeable upgrade to help differentiate it from the iPhone 16e, which became the company’s 'budget' option when it launched in February 2025. Otherwise, there may not have been much to help separate the two models. In the end, we have to take these figures with a pinch of salt, as they are not official sales numbers. But they certainly make sense, and I’m not surprised to see Apple fans snapping up the increasingly-attractive iPhone 16.

Rank 11173The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are getting two major AI updatesAI camera fetaures are rolling out to EU countriesLive translation tools are rolling out everywhere the glasses are available
Following the rollout of enhanced Meta AI features to the UK earlier this month, Meta has announced yet another update to its Ray-Ban smart glasses that will make them closer to the ultimate tourist gadget. That’s because two features are rolling out more widely: look and ask, and live translation. Thanks to their cameras, your glasses (when prompted) can snap a picture and use that as context for a question you ask them like “Hey Meta, what's the name of that flower?" or “Hey Meta, what can you tell me about this landmark?”
This tool was available in the UK and US, but it’s now arriving in countries in Europe, including Italy, France, Spain, Norway and Germany – you can check out the full list of supported countries on Meta’s website. On a recent trip to Italy I used my glasses to help me learn more about Pompeii and other historical sites as I travelled, though it could sometimes be a challenge to get the glasses to understand what landmark I was talking about because my pronunciation wasn’t stellar. I also couldn’t find out more about a landmark until I learnt what it was called, so that I could say its name to the glasses.Being able to snap a picture instead and have the glasses recognize landmarks for me would have made the specs so much more useful as a tour guide, so I’m excited to give them a whirl on my next European holiday.
Say what?
The other tool everyone can get excited for is live translation, which is finally rolling out to all countries that support the glasses (so the US, UK, Australia, and those European countries getting look and ask).Your smart specs will be able to translate between English, French, Italian, and Spanish.Best of all you won’t need a Wi-Fi connection, provided you’ve downloaded the necessary language pack. What’s more, you don't need to worry about conversations being one-sided. You’ll hear the translation through the glasses, but the person you’re talking to can read what you’re saying in the Meta View app on your phone.
Outside of face-to-face conversations I can see this tool being super handy for situations where you don’t have time to get your phone out, for example to help you understand public transport announcements.Along with the glasses’ sign-translation abilities, these new features will make your specs even more of an essential travel companion – I certainly won't be leaving them at home the next time I take a vacation.

Rank 11174Nintendo has warned that it may not be able to meet Nintendo Switch 2 demand in Japan"approximately 2.2 million people" have applied to buy one therePre-orders are currently live in the US and UK, though very hard to get
Nintendo has issued a warning that it may not be able to meet the huge demand for Nintendo Switch 2 units in Japan. In a recent statement posted to X / Twitter that we have machine translated, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa said that the company has "been procuring many material[s] and proceeding with production in advance" in order to deliver enough Nintendo Switch 2 consoles to customers.Unfortunately, the company has been inundated with "approximately 2.2 million people in Japan alone" applying to purchase the console via the My Nintendo Store. This number "far exceeds" expectation and "the number of Nintendo Switch 2 consoles that can be delivered" on the June 5 launch day.As a result, he states that "a significant number of customers" will not be offered the chance to buy one. Those affected will thankfully not need to apply to purchase again, though, as applications will "automatically carry over" to the next sale date."We deeply apologize for not being able to meet your expectations despite prior preparations," he continued. He also reassured fans that Nintendo is "currently working on further strengthening our production system."Other retailers in the region will be opening Nintendo switch 2 pre-orders tomorrow, which could give shoppers another chance to buy if they missed out."We plan to continue producing and shipping a considerable number of Nintendo Switch 2 units in the future," he concludes. "We apologize for the delay in our ability to meet your expectations, and we appreciate your understanding."Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders are currently open at retailers in the US and UK, though demand seems similarly high. It's very tricky to get your hands on a console, though we do have seven Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order tips that might help.

Rank 11178Roku has just announced a bunch of new products, and we're delighted with the new mini-LED Roku Plus Series TVs, which bring that screen tech down to an unbelievably new low price – considering how much we liked the previous Roku Plus Series and the Roku Pro Series TV with mini-LED, we're excited for the value of these new models.Roku also announced some new streaming sticks, and this is where things get, uh, sticky. There's nothing wrong with the sticks themselves, which replace the old Roku Express models in Roku's range – one delivers budget streaming with HD only, and one delivers 4K HDR for a little more money. But it means that Roku's streaming stick lineup is now stupidly confusing if you're looking for a 4K option. There are three products in Roku's stick range: the Roku Streaming Stick Plus, the Roku Streaming Stick 4K, and the Roku Streaming Stick. Let me ask you a couple of questions about them…You have a 4K TV, and you want a 4K streaming stick, obviously; which should you buy? The 4K model, of course. Well, except, the Plus also does 4K.Okay, now you know this, here's a follow-up: Which is the best model in the range, with the most advanced features for 4K HDR viewing? Probably the Plus, right, since it does 4K, but it's Plus. It's more.Wrong, the Streaming Stick 4K is the only one with Dolby Vision HDR, and is the higher-end model in the range. This naming convention is so obviously confusing that the official Roku site actually refers to the Plus model as the Roku Streaming Stick Plus (4K) whenever it's mentioned in written text. Here are the details on the new stick range (plus the Roku Ultra box, for context):
I don't blame Roku for having a more expensive model for Dolby Vision, because Dolby charges hardware makers a fee to include its products, which isn't the case for basic HDR10 or HDR10+.But I don't really understand why you'd bother with the Streaming Stick Plus at all in this case. The Streaming Stick 4K has been out for a while now – could Roku not bring its price down by $5, so that we wouldn't really need the Plus at all, to keep it simple?I have to assume that we're in a strange transitional stage of Roku's lineup. The Streaming Stick 4K has been around for a while, so I'm guessing it may be removed soon and there might be a new product coming – maybe something a little pricier than 4K model that splits the difference between the Plus and the $99 Roku Ultra.Or maybe Roku will just remove the 4K model from the lineup eventually and say 'If you want Dolby, pay $99' – though if it does that, hopefully it'll actually release the Ultra in countries such as the UK…
Roku is far from the first tech company to release a confusing range of devices – and this isn't even the first streaming stick range to have too many similar products in.Amazon used to offer the Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Stick HD, Fire TV Stick 4K, and Fire TV Stick 4K Max all at once (though it has since removed the Lite). That always felt like more products than were really needed, and likely to cause confusion – except that Amazon's lineup has clarity in the product names. It's perfectly clear which sticks do 4K, and which is the best of the bunch.Roku's range needs a little realignment – and I expect it might be coming later this year. In the meantime, just make sure you read the specs carefully before buying if you want to add one of its sticks to one of the best TVs…

Rank 11179A special B&O A9 speaker design, limited to 30 speakersA rock legend photographed by a photographic legend£3,995 (about $5,300 / AU$8,300)
Bang & Olufsen has just unveiled a very limited-edition version of its premium Beosound A9 speaker, featuring an iconic photo of David Bowie. The design has been created in collaboration with acclaimed British music photographer Denis O'Regan, and it's going to be limited to just 30 speakers. Each buyer will also get a 12-inch by 8-inch limited edition print signed and numbered by Regan alongside a printed box "sleeve" and a Certificate of Authenticity.
The go-to guy for photographing rock royalty
Denis O'Regan caught the music photography bug when he sneaked a camera into London's Hammersmith Odeon to capture Paul McCartney, and he became the most prolific photographer of Bowie. He's shot everyone from AC/DC to ZZ Top, was an official photographer at Live Aid, and has been the official photographer for Bowie, Duran Duran, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Queen, Neil Diamond, Bee Gees, Pink Floyd and Thin Lizzy. He was also the first ever Artist in Residence at the Albert Hall.Talking about the Bang & Olufsen collaboration, O'Regan said: “Throughout my career I've been privileged to hear fans and collectors describe one of my images as their 'favourite picture of Bowie'. Five years after crouching in the aisle at Newcastle's City Hall to capture this image, I set off on one of two stadium tours accompanying David around the world as his chosen photographer. This favourite of mine is the image I've selected as my chosen moment for the B&O A9 speaker cover.”While you'll get that lovely signed print as part of the package, the fun here is really having that striking image on display on a large speaker that's already design to showcase its looks. It's bigger and more expensive than most of our picks of the best wireless speakers – but in this limited-edition version, it's especially hard to resist. The Denis O’Regan Edition A9 Speaker will be available via west-contemporary-editions.com from Friday 25th April 2025 at 12:00 BST, with a price of £3,995 (roughly $5,300 / AU$8,300).

Bruce Nesmith, the senior game designer for the original The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, has shared his thoughts on Bethesda and Virtuos’ new remaster and doesn't think the term "actually does it justice".In a recent interview with VideoGamer, Nesmith said that he spent years working on the original game and that "A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into it", but revealed he hadn't heard about the remaster until the game leaked online ahead of its official announcement."I intimately knew every single scene that they were showing. And they looked amazing," he said. The game has been rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 and features all-new character models, a new lighting system, environment improvements, and a rework of the game mechanics. The enhancements are so significant that Nesmith doesn't think calling it a remaster is doing the game justice."I was assuming this was going to be a texture update," he explained. "I didn’t really think it was going to be the complete overhaul that they’ve announced it to be… I would not have batted an eye at that."But to completely redo the animations, the animation system, put in the Unreal Engine, change the leveling system, change the user interface. I mean, that’s, you’re touching every part of the game. That’s a staggering amount of remastering. It almost needs its own word, quite frankly. I’m not sure remaster actually does it justice.”Bethesda shadow dropped The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered the day it was revealed, and the game quickly garnered over 190,000 concurrent players on Steam.Seeing the reception to the 2006 remaster, Nesmith said the number one thing he feels is "pride"."A game that I worked on has the longevity to still generate interest 20 years later and to be worth the effort—it sounds like considerable effort—and time that Bethesda put into remastering it," he said.Since Nesmith thinks that the term "remaster" doesn't do the game justice, he thinks "The closest that could come [to categorizing it] is Oblivion 2.0."The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is now available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Game Pass for $49.99 / £49.99 and $59.99 / £59.99 for the Deluxe Edition.

Rank 11182Have you ever watched a trailer and thought: "this is going to be the best or the worst thing I've ever seen"? If not, watch the trailer for Heads of State embedded below. The movie, coming to Prime Video on July 2, stars John Cena as the US President and Idris Elba as the UK Prime Minister. And in this movie, they're action heroes. You read that right. In Heads of State, two of the world's leaders are ass-kicking, wise-cracking, gun-toting action heroes.I've watched the trailer a few times now and I honestly don't know if this is going to be absolute genius and become one of the best Prime Video movies or if everyone involved should be kept away from cameras for the rest of their lives.
Heads of State could be the strangest Prime Video movie yet
Here's the synopsis: "UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Idris Elba) and U.S. President Will Derringer (John Cena) have a not-so-friendly and very public rivalry that jeopardizes their countries’ 'special relationship.' But when they become the targets of a powerful and ruthless foreign adversary—who proves more than a match for the two leaders’ security forces—they are begrudgingly forced to rely on the only two people they can trust: each other."That means teaming up with Priyanka Chopra Jonas's secret agent, going on the run and finding a way to thwart a conspiracy that threatens the entire world. It's a strong cast: in addition to the three leads the film also stars Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid and Sarah Niles. And its director, Ilya Naishuller, made the Bob Odenkirk-starring Nobody, which gave us John Wick meets Better Call Saul, which was a hoot.Heads of State is clearly very silly. But if like me you loved the daft action movies of the 80s, this could be an absolute blast.Heads of State will be on Prime Video, one of the best streaming services, from July 2, 2025.

Google is reportedly enforcing a new hybrid work model whereby employees are being asked to come to the office at least three days per week, and those who fail to comply could face consequences.A CNBC report claims workers unwilling or unable to comply with the hybrid working policy will be offered voluntary exit packages. However, it's not entirely black and white, because it looks like Google is not enforcing a company-wide mandate, and decisions could vary by team.
Google is heading back into the office
According to the reports, Google Technical Services workers must adopt the new hybrid working routine or accept the exit package. Employees from its People Operations (HR) team must return to the office three days per week if they live within 50 miles of an office, and remote-only workers could be ineligible for promotions unless they go hybrid. For the AI Division, boss Sergey Brin has mandated in-office presence, adding that 60 hours per week is optimal for productivity. It's not just renewed office working policies that are affecting Google staff, because the company has initiated numerous rounds of layoffs over the past couple of years, including redundancies in its HR and cloud divisions and further job losses in the Pixel and Android teams.Despite efforts to cut costs, Google is still managing to perform well each quarter. In its final quarter of fiscal year 2024, it posted a 12% year-over-year increase in revenue. On February 5, CEO Sundar Pichai said that the company would "invest approximately $75 billion in capital expenditures in 2025."Google isn't the only company to be enforcing new return-to-office (RTO) mandates, with IBM asking its workers to follow a similar three-day routine just last week.TechRadar Pro has asked Google to confirm the details of its newly enacted policy, but we did not receive an immediate response.

ChatGPT has updated its usage limits for Plus users, meaning you now get more time with its latest models like ChatGPT-o3 and ChatGPT o4-mini.With a ChatGPT Plus, Team or Enterprise account you now have access to 100 messages a week with the ChatGPT-o3 model and a staggering 300 messages a day with the o4-mini model. You also get 100 messages a day with the programming-focused o4-mini-high.OpenAI describe ChatGPT-o3 and ChatGPT o4-mini as their “smartest most capable models yet”, and emphasise that they contain “full tool access”, which means they can agentically access all of ChatGPT’s tools.
This tools include web search, analyzing files with Python, deep reasoning and what OpenAI calls “reasoning with images”, meaning it can include analyzing and even generating images as part of its reasoning process. In our testing we’ve been most impressed by the speed of both new models. The new usage limits are effectively a doubling of the old rate limit for the o3 and o4-mini models, and mean we can all enjoy more time using them, provided you are a Plus subscriber, which costs $20 a month (£16 / AU$30) a month.

How do I know how much I have left?
There is no way to determine how many messages you have left in your current week while using ChatGPT Plus, however, you can check the date that your weekly usage limit restarts at any time by highlighting the model in the model picker drop-down.When you hit your limit you’ll no longer be able to select the model that you’ve maxed-out on in the model drop-down menu.
What's next for ChatGPT?
The next release from OpenAI will be o3-pro. In a message on the updated usage limits page OpenAI say “We expect to release OpenAI o3‑pro in a few weeks with full tool support. For now, Pro users can still access o1‑pro.”While it won’t affect people using ChatGPT.com, the usage limits also apply to developers using the API, which has recently had image generation capabilities added.

Rank 11185Nvidia's stock woes may be coming to an end based on one reputable leaker's sourcesMultiple online retailers are reportedly receiving RTX 5000 series GPUsThe RTX 5090 supposedly isn't among the new batch of GPUs
Nvidia's RTX 5000 series GPU launch has been one of its most controversial yet, with inflation, scalping, and low availability issues - and fortunately, the latter problem may finally see a shift in a positive direction soon.According to Moore's Law Is Dead on YouTube (MLID), Nvidia is improving its supply of RTX 5000 series GPUs - notably the 70-series GPUs and the recent RTX 5060 Ti - based on information from multiple major online retailers. MLID also mentions some RTX 5080 GPUs included, but there's still no sign of significant stock relief for the RTX 5090.It's a big potential change based on the launch of the flagship GPU, the RTX 5090, alongside the RTX 5080: both of Team Green's powerhouse Blackwell GPUs have had little to no availability since their launch, with most consumers left at the mercy of retailers selling partner cards with inflated prices (if any were in stock to begin with). However, if this leak is legitimate, it could spell good news for those who are waiting for the Founders Edition options if those will be available again via Nvidia alongside partner cards being restocked; tariff uncertainty is still present across the board for all things tech (especially for partner cards), but consumers may have a better shot at obtaining the RTX 5000 series GPUs at launch price when buying directly from Nvidia itself.Regardless, the problem of scalpers still remains - so even if Team Green has more Founders Edition cards, the only measure stopping scalpers is its 'limited' Verified Priority Access scheme.
This is another reminder of why the Verified Priority Access scheme should be permanent for Nvidia
Just to clarify, the leaks from MLID indicate that major online retailers are seeing an influx of RTX 5000 series GPUs, so there's no guarantee we will actually see significant restocks for Founders Edition cards from Nvidia. However, if this does happen, it reinforces the importance of the Verified Priority Access (VPA) scheme. This gives consumers who have made an Nvidia account by a certain date (currently January 30) in the US, an opportunity to buy the Founders Edition cards at their launch price. It's a measure created to fend off scalpers, and while it doesn't completely eliminate the issue, it certainly makes life easier for genuine buyers. The problem is that the VPA scheme is only available in the US and is seemingly only implemented during periods of low availability. As I've stated previously, I feel this should be a permanent scheme going forward; there's always going to be high demand and scalping for Nvidia's GPUs, regardless of controversies such as poor drivers and missing ROPs, especially for flagship GPUs and the RTX 5090 is a prime example. It's not the same for online retailers, as each will have different policies regarding purchases - and I don't think inflated pricing will get better anytime soon on that end, unfortunately. Despite that, I think a combination of more Founders Edition stock and a permanent VPA scheme could do Team Green wonders.

Rank 11186iRobot launches new flagship Roomba Max 705 Vac with AutoEmpty DockIt has slightly more suction than other Roombas but is otherwise much simplerIt costs $899.99 / £699 and is available for preorder now
iRobot has unveiled a brand new flagship robot vacuum – the Roomba Max 705 Vac, alongside AutoEmpty dock. And while it looks like a very capable robovac, I can't help but feel rather underwhelmed, and a little confused, too.It looks like the only area where this robovac improves on the rest of the range is that it has a higher maximum suction level. That's great – cleaning power is pretty key if your robovac is going to be useful, after all – but it's not the most exciting attribute for a flagship model. What's more, there are several ways where the Max 705 Vac is lacking compared to the other Roombas. It's the only model not to offer mopping capabilities alongside the vacuuming, which also means the dock is significantly more basic than the AutoWash one that comes with the 405 and 505 models.
I'm not averse to a vacuum-only robot, and I don't believe in complicating for the sake of complicating, but it is confusing to have a flagship model with a feature list that's so much shorter than the models beneath it.The reason I know it's a flagship model is because it has 'Max' in the name. The naming scheme for iRobot goes Roomba (good), Roomba Plus (better), Roomba Max (best). To be fair, the pricing does reflect this relative simplicity. The Max 705 Vac costs $899.99 / £699, compared to $999.99 / £699 for the Roomba Plus 505 beneath it. That's significantly more affordable than most robovacs' top-of-the-range models – many of today's very best robot vacuums have list prices well into four figures.
Elsewhere, you're getting the brand's most advanced LiDAR navigation ('ClearView Pro') and object detection technology ('PrecisionVision AI'), two rubber rollers to effectively pull up hair and whisk it into the bin, an auto-empty dock capable of holding up to 75 days' worth of dust and dirt, and a slick design that includes textured sections to blend more seamlessly in with your home decor. All great features, but none unique to the Max 705 Vac.It will automatically boost suction when it senses it's on carpet, which might be a unique feature, although the Plus 505 can "intelligently adapt for deep cleaning' which sounds like it could be the same thing.
This sucks
Aside from feeling underwhelmed by the new launch, I'm also frustrated to see that iRobot appears to have gone back on its plans to publish suction specs for its robovac line. Instead, it's insists on conveying its bots' cleaning powers comparative to the 600 Series. Not only does that make comparison with other brands' models impossible, but it's also not exactly a modern benchmark given the 600 launched over a decade ago.Based on iRobot's specs, the 705 Vac offers "180x more power-lifting suction" than the ancient 600 Series, while the rest of the range merely offers 70x more. But without a figure in Pascals, I can't compare that to what other brands are offering with their robovacs.
A late addition
The Roomba Max 705 Vac is an unexpected straggler following a major iRobot reboot last month. In mid-March, the brand scrapped almost its entire fleet of robovacs and replaced them with new models. The new Roomba features included overdue upgrades like the introduction of LiDAR for navigation, alongside more innovative features like a bot that squishes the dirt in its onboard bin so you don't have to make room for a bulky auto-empty dock. The only model to survive the cull was the Roomba Max 10 Combo, which at that point was still rather new. I pointed out at the time that this was a shame, because that model hadn't been massively well received, and looked rather dated compared to its new stablemates. It looks like the Max 705 vac is replacing that model. It seems like it'll be a better robovac, with basic features in line with the rest of the range, even if there's nothing especially new. The 705 is also less than half the price of the Max 10.I'd assume that a Combo model is in the works and will be joining the range at some point, although that's purely speculation.
The Roomba Max 705 Vac Robot + AutoEmpty Dock is available for pre-order now, with the official launch due on 11 May 2025. Direct from iRobot it costs $899.99 / £699.

Rank 11189Microsoft appears to be mulling the idea of building Edge’s new tab page around Copilot The new layout for the page is still hidden in testing, though, so it’s still very early daysIt looks more streamlined, dispensing with MSN content on the face of it, though it’s not clear if that’s how the final implementation will pan out
Microsoft Edge already has the Copilot AI assistant built in, but now it’s been spotted taking center stage in the web browser’s new tab page (known as NTP for short).Windows Latest flagged up that this change (first noticed on Reddit) is present in the Canary (earliest) testing channel for Edge, although it’s not active by default. You must enable various experimental flags behind the scenes to get it working. To explain the NTP briefly, whenever you create a new tab in Edge, this is what you see. Effectively it’s a (kind of) blank canvas, and right now in the release version of Microsoft’s web browser it contains a central search box (for firing up a Bing search) which is complemented by MSN feed material. (You can customize the latter to show very little of the feed, or have it cover most of the screen – in the latter case, the NTP isn’t such a blank canvas). With the new scheme of things seen in testing, all that is replaced by a central Copilot prompt. You can still type in a search query – as you would with the current search box – but alternatively, you can ask the AI assistant anything you would elsewhere (such as via Copilot on the web, or in the Windows taskbar, or Copilot in the Edge side panel for that matter). There are shortcut buttons below the Copilot prompt box on the NTP, allowing the user to click to ‘write a draft’ or to ‘learn something new’ and so forth.Windows Latest further points out that there’s also a small dropdown menu that allows you to adjust how the NTP works. The ‘Default’ setting here is a mix of search and chat suggestions, so based on what you type in the Copilot prompt, theoretically Edge will determine whether you’ll get a fuller AI response, or a simple Bing search result.Alternatively, you can select ‘Search and Navigate’ which is focused on web searching (with no AI responses), or there’s a ‘Chat’ setting which offers a conversational experience with Copilot. In other words, you can go for a more traditional search (as is currently the case with the NTP), a full-on AI experience, or a mix of the two (by default) with Edge hopefully making intelligent decisions about what needs to be done based on your initial query.
(Image credit: Windows Latest / Microsoft)
Analysis: More AI, but more streamlined (for now)
Remember, all of this isn’t even in testing yet, it’s still in the early stages of being readied to be tried out in the Canary channel. The ‘Chat’ setting mentioned above doesn’t work at all yet – it just brings up a Bing search result – and the shortcut buttons (for the likes of writing a draft) don’t work either. As such, this is still a rough idea, and it could well change before it’s fully enabled even for testers. We can see the direction that Microsoft is thinking of heading in, though, and this overhauled NTP certainly has positive aspects. It’s a lot less cluttered and the refreshed new tab page looks commendably clean, notably rid of the MSN feed gunk that a lot of folks aren’t keen on.There are people who will argue that it’s just Microsoft pushing AI and Copilot in yet another way, but to be fair to the software giant, there is a choice to dispense with the AI responses (by electing for the basic ‘search’ option). And also, if that’s the price we must pay to get a more streamlined NTP with no MSN content peppered about, then it’s arguably well worth paying. That said, as Windows Latest also points out, Microsoft is testing MSN content within Copilot (on Android currently), and it’s quite possible that this (personalized and targeted) material will be served via the Copilot box on Edge’s refreshed NTP. It might not pan out that way, but it seems unlikely that Microsoft is going to stop pushing its network content anytime soon.

Rank 11190Strava has had a few new developments recently, including buying personalized running plan app Runna. Now, it has launched a new training feature for distance runners called Performance Predictions, which gives estimated finish times for difference race lengths.
The app will now offer possible times for a 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon — so, now, it's not only your own goals you have to live up to but Strava's as well. No pressure. Strava is providing these predictions using a machine learning model (shocking) which looks at over 100 data points from the individual and the performance of similar runners on the app. The times should change after every run and based on rest periods.
Strava claims that users logged almost 1 billion runs on its app last year, so it should be helpful to some (and apply added pressure to others). Subscribers can access it in Strava's Progress tab. It will also show you how much those numbers have recently changed based and your average time per mile. Rank 11193Pizza ovens are having a moment. Companies like Ooni have popularized the ability to make restaurant-quality pies at home by giving you ovens that get hot enough for various pizza styles. Some burn wood while others run on gas, and some options can even do both with the proper accessories. I’ve broken down what to look for when you’re shopping for a pizza oven along with my top picks for the best pizza oven in various categories. If you prefer to stay in your kitchen, I’ve got options for you too. Plus, there’s a list of the pizza ovens on my upcoming slate of reviews.

Best indoor pizza ovens in 2025
Let me preface this section by saying you probably already have an indoor option that you can use to make some great pizza. Whether that’s the main oven in your kitchen or a multi-function countertop unit, with some affordable accessories, you can easily up your game without spending $1,000 on a dedicated appliance. For example, my Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer has a convection pizza setting that automatically adjusts cook time based on the size, oven temperature and whether the pie is fresh or frozen. A key consideration here is size. These things are massive, about the size of a large microwave, so you likely won’t want to keep them out all the time unless you have a huge kitchen.
What to look for in a pizza oven
When shopping for a home pizza oven, you’ll first want to consider what types of pies you plan to make. Most portable outdoor pizza ovens from the likes of Ooni, Solo Stove and others use wood and are primarily designed for the high-heat cooking required for light and airy Neapolitan-style pizzas. We’re talking high temperatures up to 900 degrees Fahrenheit. These units can certainly cook different styles at cooler temperatures, but the learning curve is easiest when you’re running them wide open with a full load of wood.
You'll also want to consider alternate fuel types. If you purchase a propane or natural gas burner, you can adjust temperatures easily by turning a knob. For this reason, I recommend you spend the extra $100 or so on that accessory. This dual-fuel option makes your pizza oven a lot more versatile and gives you the option to still have a freshly fired pie when you don’t feel like messing with wood or charcoal. If you only want to cook with gas, there are models available that only use propane or natural gas.
The other key consideration for aspiring pizza makers is size. Most companies make ovens that fit 12-inch pizzas, a perfect size for a personal pan pizza. They’re also great for pizza parties, since people can customize their own without having to pick off toppings they don’t like. If you want to make larger pizzas or plan to use your oven for other things (pans, etc), consider a larger version that can accommodate more than just small pies. The interior dimensions – or at the very least the pizza stone size – will be listed on most product pages.
How to prepare before outdoor cooking
Making quality pizza at home requires a considerable amount of counter or table space. You’ll need room to stretch and prep your pizza dough, lay out your mozzarella, other cheeses and toppings and load pies onto a peel. Of course, some folks will be comfortable working in the tight confines of a small kitchen, but I’ve found it much easier to use extra space to make sure I’m not constantly moving things around during the various steps in the process.
It’s also less hassle to set up your pizza-making station in close proximity to your oven. As a pizza-baking beginner, I did the running back and forth from the kitchen to the back porch. It’s far from ideal. It’s difficult to maintain your fire (if using wood or charcoal) when you’re unable to watch it closely. The good news is a patio table can be easily converted into a pizza station with a large cutting board. This also gets your oven off the ground so it’s easier to access.
Ooni sells tables for its ovens that also offer shelving and storage for peels and other accessories. Solo Stove has a rolling stand for its Pi oven too, with small side shelves and a spot for your propane tank underneath. Of course, you can find other tables and stands to suit your needs, just make sure they can withstand any heat that may radiate from the bottom of the oven while cooking. Most ovens are either well insulated or don’t project too much excess heat toward the table, but you can never be too careful. For that reason, a stainless steel or metal surface is a good choice to set up an outdoor model.
Most of these ovens cook quickly at high heat, especially if you’re making Neapolitan pizza. Having everything you need nearby so you can keep tabs on the oven and quickly make the next pizza will ease a lot of unnecessary headaches. When your cook time is two minutes or less, you don’t want to venture too far.
Upcoming pizza oven reviews
Ooni recently updated its Koda line with the Koda 2 and Koda 2 Pro. Both feature the company’s latest burner technology among their improvements alongside slightly larger cooking areas. The Koda 2 Pro comes with an Ooni Connect Digital Temperature Hub display that can send updates to your phone via Bluetooth. The Koda 2 doesn’t, but you can easily add one if you’re willing to pay for the accessory. The Koda 2 is available now, but the Koda 2 Pro is still on the way. Since the smart connectivity is what I’m most interested in, I’m waiting to review the Pro.
Current Backyard debuted as a new company at CES 2024. Initially focused on electric grills, it returned to Las Vegas this year with an electric pizza oven. The $599 Model P offers five different cook modes for various styles and uses, along with a maximum temperature of 850 degrees Fahrenheit. Top-mounted and under-stone heating elements ensure even cooking and Current Backyard says the Model P will recover quickly between pies. The company’s app also offers a Pizza Build Calculator to help you determine cook time and temperature based on your chosen style and ingredients. The Model P is likely to be the next pizza oven to go through a thorough review.
The best pizza accessories for the oven you already have
If you want to make good homemade pizza that rivals that of your favorite pizzeria (and without spending hundreds of dollars on a dedicated oven), you can definitely do it with the oven you already have in your kitchen. With a few gadgets, you can improve your game without splurging on a Breville, Ooni or Solo Stove. First, I’d recommend a high quality baking steel or stone.
Baking stones are great for getting better browning on the bottom of your pies than a pizza or sheet pan. You can also use them for bread, cookies and other items. The stone absorbs heat to cook pizza quickly, like the inside of a brick oven, which leads to a charred crust. They’re also more affordable compared to baking steels. Those metal slabs do have one key advantage: higher heat conductivity. This means a steel will cook your pizzas faster since it can absorb more heat from your oven. While baking steels can be used as griddles on your stovetop and for other types of baking, they’re not ideal for some leavened breads.
The second item you’ll want is a pizza peel. These come in all shapes and sizes, made out of a variety of materials. I typically use a bamboo or wooden peel when topping and launching my pizzas and then a metal one for retrieving them. I’ve found that dough doesn’t stick as easily to bamboo during prep and the metal resists the high heat of the oven when turning or retrieving a finished pizza (bamboo will burn). There are also perforated peels which allow both steam and excess flour to escape. A peel is a great tool for loading and turning pizzas, getting them in the back of the oven, and since you’ll typically be cooking them with your oven at 500 degrees or hotter, using something like parchment paper to move them around won’t work. This article originally appeared on Engadget at https://www.engadget.com/home/kitchen-tech/best-pizza-oven-141550352.html?src=rss

Rank 11194Warner Bros has scanned over 20 movies in 8KScanning from film, including 70mm But is there any point to 8K over streaming?
One of the big downsides of the best 8K TVs is that there's precious little 8K content to watch. But Warner Bros' latest news suggests that good things are coming. Over 20 good things, in fact, as a start.Speaking at the NAB 2025 event this week, Warner Bros said that it has scanned over 20 films in 8K. As FlatpanelsHD reports, it didn't name the movies, but it did say that it was scanning movies shot on film, including movies shot on 70mm, in 8K. That's a combination for home theater heaven. The studio has previously teamed up with Samsung to deliver 8K movie trailers for Creed III, Barbie, Blue Beetle, Dune: Part Two, Wonka and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. And Apple is also producing 8K entertainment, albeit with a focus on Vision Pro so far.The news that more 8K entertainment is coming is great, but there's still something missing before we can believe that the 8K future is actually coming.
Warner Bros has previously showcased a range of 8K trailers including one for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. (Image credit: Warner Bros)
8K home entertainment: what's missing
The big question remaining is: how will we actually get our 8K entertainment in way that makes jumping to 8K actually worth it?There's a huge, disc-shaped hole in the high quality home entertainment ecosystem: Blu-Ray tops out at 4K and there are no plans for an 8K successor. The answer could be online video, but not as it's currently being delivered by the major streaming services: streaming services use compressed video formats, and that's anathema to the kind of people who care enough about picture quality to buy an 8K TV or projector, and to pay for 8K movies. The bitrate for 8K is huge, so much so that the IEEE has produced a paper about it. If delivered via Netflix or the other best streaming services, it would come with such compressed colors that the extra resolution would be a pointless trade-off. If we can have higher bitrate streaming, I'd rather we just had better-quality 4K, closer to what you get from the best 4K Blu-ray players.Speaking of which, the answer could be Kaleidescape. The firm makes high-end movie streamers and also delivers downloads, and its movies are delivered at the same high-quality as 4K Blu-rays. It's just joined the joined the 8K Alliance to "play a pivotal role in shaping the future of premium home cinema". An 8K movie equivalent of Qobuz's hi-res audio downloads could be compelling – although it could also be very costly. It's clear that something is needed, however, because the dearth of 8K content is clearly worrying the TV firms and keeping sales numbers low: Sony has quietly confirmed that it's stepping away from 8K TV manufacturing for the time being and other manufacturers such as LG haven't announced new 8K models for some time.I'm excited by the idea of 8K-quality 70mm movies being available at home, but they need to reach people in a way that makes them superior to what we have now, or it'll all be pointless.

Rank 11195Twin 210-degree cameras provide complete coverage, with 5.2K videoA rear 2.7K camera comes in the box tooThe main camera can be disattached and used as a regular 360 camera
Vantrue might have created the most versatile and fun dash cam we've seen yet – the triple camera Element 360 (E360).Its front camera features twin 210-degree lenses that combine for complete 360-degree coverage of the front and cabin of a vehicle, outputting 5.2K video (presumably that's the combination of what is effectively two 2.7K cameras). That main 360 camera is complemented by a rear 2.7K camera with ultra-wide 165 degree view, which is designed to be positioned on your rear windscreen to cover off any blindspots from the main camera's front and cabin view. And here's a neat party piece – the front onboard camera unit of the Element 360 (more commonly known as the E360) is easily removable from a vehicle for use as a regular handheld 360 camera, much like the offerings from Insta360 and GoPro.For such uses, the E360 can be attached to Vantrue's handheld mount – a selfie stick with tripod feet (included in the pricier E360 Ace bundle), armed with batteries that can power the camera for up to four hours of record time.We wouldn't expect the E360 to replace a dedicated 360 camera like the powerful Insta360 X5, but it's a fun feature for users who want the capture the personal touch to their journeys in addition to the dash cam's primary purpose. The E360 costs $349.99 / £269.99 at Amazon, while the E360 Ace, which adds the handheld mount, costs $459.99 / £359.99 at Amazon – we've seen sizable discounts on those prices already.

Dash cam fun, on board smarts
Vantrue's E360 is a versatile onboard and regular 360 camera, but it's also backed up by the sort of tech we'd expect from a serious dash cam.It features the current generation Sony Starvis 2 sensor, HDR video, a quad-core processor, decent night vision capabilities and 15 seconds pre-recording activated by motion detection, complete with GPS data. The front camera features a touchscreen, but it can also be voice controlled through basic prompts, while a 24-hour parking mode is available, provided the E360 is hardwired into the vehicle. However, it's the main camera's 360-degree coverage with seamless stitching for a distrotion-free 5.2K video output, plus its unique handheld mode, that really stand out. We're currently conducting an in-depth review of the Vantrue E360 which will be published soon. From our experiences with other Vantrue dash cams such as the E1 Pro, we expect good things. We can't speak of its quality as a regular 360 camera – however, it's unlikely to challenge the Insta360 X5, our favorite dedicated 360 degree camera.

Rank 11197In case you're wondering how Moore's Law is doing, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. (TSMC) just unveiled its latest 1.4-nanometer (nm) A14 process that will enter production in 2028. The technology promises a 15 percent performance boost, plus a 30 percent reduction in power draw compared to 2nm processors set to go into production later in 2025, TSMC said. The 1.4nm tech is likely to be used in processors for Apple, Intel and AMD.
The performance gains are thanks to a 20 percent logic density improvement over 2nm tech. The company's 2nm process saw similar improvements over the 3nm chips, so the 1.4nm chips could be up to 30 percent faster and 60 percent more efficient than current chips.
Apple's chips today are based on TSMC's 3nm process, and the upcoming iPhone 17, including a rumored ultra-slim version, will reportedly use that as well with the third-generation N3P node. So, Apple won't likely switch to TSMC's 2nm tech for another two years, as MacRumors pointed out.
That in turn means Apple won't likely employee 1.4nm tech in mobile and desktop devices for three or more generations and it could be that long before we see it in AMD and other processors as well. However, TSMC usually has multiple generations of a given node (with small improvements in each), and Apple has been adept at boosting performance of its Silicon design before switching to smaller processes.

Rank 11199Looking to pick up an iPad for carrying out basic tasks like watching shows, catching up on reading and handling some email? The latest base model might be the way to go, especially if you’re a budget-conscious buyer. The A16 iPad is now on sale at a record-low price. It has dropped by $29 to $320.
The discount is available on the blue and yellow colorways at the moment. The deal is for the entry-level configuration with 128GB of storage, 6GB of RAM and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
The A16 iPad, which Apple released earlier this year, is our pick for the best budget iPad. It's not as sleek or powerful as the iPad Air, but as things stand it'll run you $234 less than that tablet. It's a good device in its own right, as we gave it a score of 84 in our review.
Apple didn't increase the price of the latest base iPad compared with the previous model, but it added 2GB of RAM, doubled the storage and slotted in a more powerful chipset that's fast enough for most common tasks, including casual gaming and light photo editing. However, the iPad doesn't support Apple Intelligence — which is either a positive or negative, depending on your perspective or feelings about generative AI.
The build quality is still solid, while the 11-inch tablet runs for around 10 hours on a single charge, depending on the taks you carry out with it. On the downside, the accessory situation isn't ideal. The Apple Pencil doesn't charge wirelessly when you attach it magnetically to the iPad — you'll need a USB-C cable and a USB-C to Lightning adapter to juice up the original Pencil's battery from the tablet. The Magic Keyboard support isn't great either, as the model that works with the base iPad is tough to stabilize on your lap.
Still, if the accessory fussiness doesn't bother you, this might be the right iPad for your needs. Sure, the iPad Air and Pro lineups have models with more powerful chipsets, but if all you're looking for is an iPad to watch some movies on while you're flying or to read the news on without breaking the bank, this could be the way to go.
