Ready Player One - Book

The story happens in a not-so-great future where people escape their problems by diving into a virtual world called the OASIS.

The main character is Wade Watts, a teenager who, like lots of others, is obsessed with the OASIS, a place where you can forget about real life. When the creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a tricky treasure hunt within the virtual world. Whoever finds the hidden Easter Egg gets his fortune and control of the OASIS.

Wade, using the avatar Parzival, becomes one of the treasure hunters and is determined to solve the creator's puzzles. But he has to face off against a big corporation and other treasure hunters who will do anything to win.

"Ready Player One" is a story filled with references to 1980s pop culture, video games, and sci-fi. It talks about virtual reality, gaming, and what happens when we rely too much on technology.
