City of Glass

In a bid to rescue her mother, Clary must journey to the City of Glass, the ancestral homeland of the Shadowhunters. Despite the fact that entering the city without authorization is a violation of the Law, and breaking the Law could result in severe consequences, Clary forges ahead. The situation becomes even more complicated when she discovers that Jace isn't eager to have her around, and Simon finds himself imprisoned by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can tolerate sunlight.

As Clary delves deeper into her family's history, she forms an alliance with the enigmatic Shadowhunter, Sebastian. With Valentine gathering his formidable power to obliterate all Shadowhunters, their only hope of defeating him is to join forces with their age-old adversaries. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their animosity and collaborate? While Jace comes to terms with the extent of his willingness to risk everything for Clary, can she harness her newfound abilities to aid in the salvation of the City of Glass, regardless of the sacrifices that may be required?
